Our Disney Side Party!!

A couple weeks ago my family and I were lucky enough to be chosen to host a #DisneySide @ Home Celebrations Party!!  We received a huge box in the mail stuffed with fun goodies to help us celebrate the magic of Disney!  The box included adorable Minnie & Mickey posters, Hanes T-shirts, fabric markers, balloons, HP photo paper, Mickey tattoos, Mickey plates, cups, napkins, Ocean Spray Craisins, an American Tourister Suitcase and much more.  Amazing, right!?  After some thought about what kind of party to host, the kids and I decided on a Disney Pizza & Pajama Party.  We decorated the house and made Mickey Mouse sugar cookies for our party the night before.  The day of our party we got hit with a huge snow storm and as a result our guest list took quite a hit but Grandma and Daddy were still able to attend and that was good enough for us!  We had a great time snacking, playing, coloring and watching our Disney planning DVD.  We decided we are going to take our 1st trip to Disney as a family in 2016!  We are so excited!!  I really want to thank Disney ParksBSM Media, and American Tourister  for this fun filled opportunity.  My family had a great time exploring our Disney Side!

Still wondering what Disney Side means? To me, there is Disney Side in everyone! Disney has spread so much magic over the years, most everyone has a little piece of it that they love.  It could be a song, a character or a phrase from a movie.  Disney  just has a way of just making us feel good, like a kid again.  I can’t think of a feeling much better then that! If you would like to explore you and your family’s Disney Side or maybe plan your next Disney vacation, click here!

Our Busy October!

Hello!! I am so glad that I finally have a couple of moments to blog!!  October is a busy, crazy month for my family.  There are so many fun things to do on the weekends and throughout the week!!  We did a ton of stuff!  We went apple picking, hit up a couple of pumpkin patches, went on hayrides galore, attended I-X Trick or Treat Street, trick-or-treated at Crocker Park and the did the Halloween Walk at our local metro park!!  WHOO!!!  Still 2 days till Halloween!! I am pretty sure I drive my husband crazy with my “October Madness” but deep down I think he really enjoys it.  I know the kiddo’s love celebrating and we both love seeing them excited.  I also like that they get to wear their costumes more than once!  This year my oldest is dressing as a Stealth Ninja, my 3-year-old decided to be Superman and my littlest get’s to be a flower.  The boy’s picked their own costumes and after a lot of back and forth I picked the baby’s.  There are soo many cute costume’s for baby girls!  I had a hard time deciding between a peacock and a flower.  Ridiculous, I know, but I only get a couple of years to pick their costumes and then they take over!  I have to admit, I am proud of myself this year because I got great prices on all of their costumes.  I took the kids to Spirit Halloween to let them try on and show me exactly what they wanted and then went home and found better prices from other stores.  I ordered the Super Man and the Flower from a seller on Ebay, both brand new and unopened for 50% off what they cost in the store.  My oldest’s Ninja costume was $20.00 dollars cheaper buying it online with a coupon and free shipping then it would have been in the store!  I love saving money!  Who doesn’t, right?  Anyways, our family has had a blast this month and we can’t wait for Halloween!!  I would love to hear what you and your family enjoy doing to celebrate Halloween!!  Please share!

I have to share one of my FAVORITE websites!! It’s called House Party and you can check it out here!!  Chances are you have heard of House Party, but if you haven’t then today is your lucky day!  This website is packed full of great parties, and the best thing is that it is all FREE!  The only thing you have to do is throw a party!  Everyone loves a good party!  Just check out the website and find a party that you would like to have at your house and that you know your friends and family would love, then apply!  If you are chosen to host, House Party will send you a big box full of great stuff to help host your party.  Just a warning, do not expect to get every party you apply for!  I have seen a lot of people get discouraged because they didn’t get picked to host.  You have to be patient!  Trust me, you will get picked..eventually!  You have to remember there are A LOT of people applying for the same party you are and there are only a limited number of host spots.  I have been lucky enough to host 3 awesome parties and I have been a member of House Party for a little over a year.  I have hosted parties for Fisher-Price, Keurig and Hasbro.  Seriously, all 3 were amazing!  Check out the photos below my post to see everything included in the party packs!  The most recent party I hosted was the Hasbro Chasin’ Cheeky party!  My party pack was great and the kids loved introducing him to their friends and family!  If you like to have parties and can get excited about whatever brand it is that you apply for, then House Party is for you!  There are several great parties open for application right now including Mega Bloks First Builders, Mega Bloks Hot Wheels, Tassimo,  and many more!  Have fun and good luck!!

My Baby’s 1st Birthday!

Today was my daughters 1st birthday!! I seriously just cannot believe how fast this year has gone by.  It feels like just yesterday we were bringing her home from hospital.  She is getting so big so fast!  She really is just the cutest thing and I love her to death. Her party is not until this weekend but we had a nice, low-key celebration for her today.  This morning she got her “big gift.”  We gave her an Anywhere Chair from Pottery Barn Kids and she loved it!  I was very uneasy about ordering this chair from Pottery Barn without ever actually seeing it because it was a little pricy but it is adorable and the reviews were outstanding.  We chose to have her name embroidered on it and it looks really nice.  I would totally recommend this for a great first birthday gift!  Every time she has gone in her room today, she climbs right up on it and grabs a book for me to look at with her.  After playing around with her chair we dropped my oldest off at preschool and met my mother for lunch at Dairy Queen, where she was able to carry on her ‘ice cream tradition.’  My mom has taken each one of my children out for ice cream on their 1st birthday!  It was nice to see my baby making a mess and enjoying ice cream with her Grandma.  Later this evening my husband’s parents stopped by and we sang Happy Birthday and watched her dig in to a cupcake.  After that, it was a couple more presents then bath and bed!  She had a pretty great birthday and was exhausted by the end of the night! I have loved every single minute spent with her this 1st year, and am so excited for the years ahead!  I want to end by sharing one of my favorite quotes by Elizabeth Stone because it rings so true, “Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.”

Just a couple photo’s of my birthday girl!

BzzAgent & Kashi’s Hummus Crisps!

I know I have written about Influenster and Smiley 360, but today I want to tell you about a similar website called BzzAgent!  BzzAgent is very cool product review website that will send you products to try out and review for free!  It is simple to sign up and all you have to do to get started is take some surveys!  There are a lot of survey’s, but you don’t have to take them all at once.   Once you finish your survey’s,  you can sit back and relax because BzzAgent will send you an email when you are invited to a campaign and then you can decide if it is something you are interested in or not.  If you are interested, you accept and BzzAgent will send you that product in the mail totally free and all you are expected to do is tell your friends about it and spread your opinions through social media.  I really enjoy being a BzzAgent and I’m sure you will too!  I have been a member for less than a year and have reviewed Children’s Claritin, AMDRO Power Flex Weed & Pest System, Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge, Doctor Scholl’s insoles and a Schick razor!  My latest BzzCampaign is for Kashi and I am reviewing their Sea Salt & Olive Oil Hummus Crisps.  I was really unsure if I would like these, but I have to say they are great!  My whole family LOVED these crisps, even my picky 3 year old!  Seriously, we ate the entire bag a couple of minutes!  My husband was really shocked on how much he liked them because they are advertised as healthy chips and that’s really not his thing!  They are not like regular chips, they have a kid of rice cake/chip texture that’s really pretty good.  So, if you are out shopping and want to try a healthier alternative to your regular chips, I would suggest Kashi’s Hummus Crisps!  If you would like to sign up to become a BzzAgent like me, you can click here!  If you would like to learn more about Kashi’s Hummus Crisps, click here!

Slow Cooker Creamy Ranch Pork Chops & Potatoes! Perfect for Busy Families!

Holy Moly!! This past week have been a very busy one at our house!! We went to the County Fair, Cedar Point, the Zoo and Lowe’s to build El Chupacabra!  My oldest is starting pre-school next week so we have been getting all his stuff together for that and my baby is taking steps and cutting teeth!  Wow!!  Did I just say my oldest is starting pre-school?? That just seems so crazy to me…my little boy is getting so big!  Tonight was Meet the Teacher night at his school!  He seems to be excited but a little worried at the same time.  I know he will love it so I am trying not to worry about him to much.  I think if anything I am worried about myself!  As you already know, I’m a little bit crazy when it comes to my children!  A lot of praying will be going on when my little one is at school thats for sure! Anyways, since I have been so busy this past week I have been trying some quick new recipes and there is one that I found that my family and I really enjoyed and I wanted to share it with you!  This recipe is for Slow Cooker Creamy Ranch Pork Chops and Potatoes. So good, and so easy!! I found it while searching on Pinterest and it is from Six Sisters’ Stuff!  So, without further delay, here it is!

Ingredients:

4-6 Pork Chops

6-8 Medium Potatoes, chopped into large pieces

2 cans fat-free cream of chicken soup

2 packages of dry Ranch dressing mix

1 cup milk

Dried parsley to sprinkle on the top (optional)

Directions:

Spray your Slow Cooker with non-stick cooking spray and put the potatoes in the bottom. Place the pork chops on top of the potatoes.  Mix together the condensed soups, Ranch dressing mix and milk.  Pour on top of the pork chops and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or on high for 4 hours.  Use the extra sauce in the slow cooker as a gravy on the potatoes and pork chops.

So, Volia! There you have a super easy, super delicious dinner that takes little effort! I have just a couple tips that will help this meal come out perfect!  The recipe calls for large pieces of potatoes but I have made this twice now and the 1st time it didn’t come out as well because my potatoes were to large and did not cook enough.  So, I would suggest cutting the potatoes into smaller pieces.  Also, I used regular cream-of-chicken soup instead of fat free and just added a small amount of the parsley.  Awesome!  If you deciede to make this for your family, let me know how you like it!!
